Dancing Monkeys

A few months ago I wore this print mixed get-up to my little sister's birthday party in Ocho Rios , St.Ann. Print mixing is a little tricky but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to master the art of mixing and matching once you learn a few tricks. The most important thing is to make sure that the colours are complimentary (like mauve and green) even if they are varying shades they must be different shades of the same family. When matching two or more prints, they should share at least one color , that will bring the look together. Another thing you could do is add another pattern in the form of an accenting accessory like a belt , purse or head piece. Makes sense?

When your prints don't match, your color story should. The palm trees and little dangling monkeys on my vintage shirt , the bold prints on my skirt and the leopard print head piece gave a kind of tropical vibe right? That's how I always feel and dress when I am out of town and around a lot of nature.

Don't be afraid to mix and match patterns at will , the best thing about it is that you don't have to go out and buy clothing to match what you have. Once you follow these rules you will always find something in your closet that  can be print mixed , some of the best combinations happen by accident.

Whether its print mixing or monochromatic pairings I've been wearing a lot of earth and neutral tones lately. Wore a gold tone vintage wrap skirt with a green swimsuit top to Frenchman's Cove in Portland a few weeks ago.

Summer in Jamaica

As I predicted , I spent pretty much the entire summer in swimsuits and very little clothing. Nothing fashionable to speak on but nonetheless I'm sharing photos of a few days spent journeying through Holland Bamboo heading to the beautiful Westmoreland , hiking through the Blue Mountains to find a secret waterfalls and sea gazing from the rocks of a hidden cove in St.Ann. The latter part of Summer my brother came to Jamaica and we went zip-lining , kayaking , rode ATV bikes and swam with Dolphins in St.Ann and Trelwany. The nights were spent dinning out , checking out the Kingston , Montego Bay and Ocho Rios night life and just catching up with each others lives , my brother really put the icing on my summer cake #aintnobrotherliketheoneIgot.

Summertime Fine

I wish I could give you guys more fashion posts but I haven't been going anywhere fancy lately , in fact , I've been going to the beach more often now that Summer is almost here and its starting to get really hot.

Wore this blue one piece swimsuit that I've had for maybe 8 years to Strawberry Fields Beach in St.Mary over the Labor Day Holiday. It's highly likely that most of my posts this summer will be in swimsuits and very little clothing due to this heat , maybe I'll do some vacation inspo type of posts. On another note one piece swimsuits are the shit ,  it shapes the body out nicely and works wonders with keeping a tummy bulge compact , its my go to swimsuit really.
