When ever I'm looking for stylish people to feature on my blog the first place I look is in Jamaica and the Caribbean , however , I noticed that no one here was doing the athletic inspired trend. I'm not sure if Caribbean people haven't caught on to the trend as yet or they are just not fond of it but this month I had to go overseas to find what I was looking for. Meet Jasmine Furelid ; a  freelance stylist that reigns from London , UK. This beauty has been on my Facebook page for a few years now and she was so excited when I told her that I was going to do a feature on her. Jasmine is the embodiment of casual chic with outfits that consists mostly of loose fitting pants,  slouchy t-shirts and interesting bomber jackets and skull caps, for overall looks very much nodding towards the boy in tomboy. The masculine influence is indeed obvious with  on trend outfits replicating nearly all sports uniforms from football and baseball, all the way to the fitness gear.  Her immaculate and unapologetic styling definitely makes her someone worth noticing in the fashion world.

ZYON 35

I spent the weekend of mother's day in St.Ann ( Jamaica) with my family. On mother's day my sisters and I took our mother out for lunch in the town and the photographer at the hotel was kind enough to take these pictures of me before we left out.

My sweat shirt was thigh length and could probably be worn as a mini dress but I decided to cut it into a cute little cropped top that would compliment my skirt better.

Took this picture by the hotel's pool later that day.

Patch Work

It was time to go home and my face was puffy , my eyes were puffy , my nose was stuffy and I was sneezing , coughing and wheezing. I was so sick and I just wanted to be comfortable so I threw on this 80's inspired bright blue sweat suit and a white cap to hide my messy uncombed hair. 

The sweat suit features a colourful patchwork design and side pockets which is reminiscent of todays trendy bomber jackets but this particular suit has a retro feel which reminds me more of  TLC and Run DMC back in the day.

My brother loved the jacket and tried it and if it was his size I would'nt have been able to leave Atlanta with it, I love the fact that this look is unisex.

Airport Jog

If you read my previous posts you would know that I took a quick trip to Atlanta to see my brother and the newest addition to my family ; my little niece. The morning of the flight I was in a "throw on anything and go" kind of mood  and thats exactly what I did. I paired my white turtle neck top with sweat pants and sneakers and I looked as if I was about to head on to a football field. I ditched the sneakers for some heels and went for a demure white blazer for a more polished look. Every man , woman , boy and girl should own a simple white blazer , it brings a clean , crisp and preppy aesthetic to any outfit , even a basic white top and a pair of old jogging pants.
